“The Widow” by K.L. Slater

What would you do if you found out that everything you know about your husband is a lie?

Kate is living a happy life with her husband and daughter. Everything is going great until a young woman went missing and they are questioned by the police. Being at the center of the investigation, Kate will discover that her husband is not telling the truth. What is he hiding? Why did he lie to the police? Why did he lie to her?

The Widow” is so good!

Intense, clever and heartbreaking! It really makes you realise that you can never really know a person no matter how long you think you know them.

The characters were all very well-written. I liked the pace of the story, the flashbacks and the different narrations. All my questions were answered and explained carefully. Although some parts left a hole in my heart because of their tragic nature, I was smiling through to the last couple of pages.

I have enjoyed the two days spent reading this, truly an awesome experience. I hope everyone could get a chance to read this book. Totally worth it.

(Cheers to Netgalley and Bookouture for the advanced copy in exchange for this review.)

Lovelies! Have you read this book? Would you read this? Have you read something similar to this one? Let me know what you think! πŸ™‚
