Memori Morti

When the branches of my existence perish, when the roots of my lifetime withered away, when I leave this world for the other side, who would keep me in their hearts? Who would reminisce the memories I lived? Did I do enough to be remembered?

When I travel the lonely road of great divide, turning the last chapter of my book, who would care enough to read my adventures, who would see my legacy through their eyes?

When the night is through, just as the last star flickered into nothingness, before everything is lost, give me a moment to say goodbye for the last time, meet me in another life, you and me again.

  1. You’ve got me thinking now… And I don’t think I like the answers that I have. A really beautiful and heart touching post 😊🌹
