The Last Kiss

Take me back to the day we first met
I’d turn around, I’ll look the other way
Because I know how this would end.

Your smile would bring colour to my grey rainy days
Your touch would blow me out of my mind a thousand times
Your kiss would drown my senses, begging for more.

I would hope for this to last, I would try to fix us, in vain
You’d walk away feeling empty
I would cry, desperately.

I’ll choose to look the other way
I’ll save our hearts from the downfall
Because I know how this would end.

  1. My dear Ragazza,

Looking back to the past, moments of happiness that we want that they never would pass away, lost in the presence, let us dream and scream, a warning cry from the future, the presence – in which know how would end…

Greatly penned with soft feelings of your heart.
Thanks for sharing, my dear friend 🙂
    Have a great time

  2. Beautifully done and with such heart. I had a love like that, but if I had turned away I would have missed out on so much and would not have the wonderful memories of true love.

  3. The hopeless love and the trials of making the effort of making the magic last but knowing the inevitable end. One can never conceive that the rainbow ends at the pot of gold when there is so much to spend lovely. Your writing makes the last kiss seems like a prelude to a beautiful beginning somewhere positive because that’s how your writing is, you have the ability to leave it open and that’s magical. A gorgeous piece that proves there is no end, just a new beginning.🌹
