Broken Heart and Limerence

He didn’t see me among the crowd, I walked slowly too, I counted my steps, careful not to make a noise or be seen. I admired his stance from behind, his broad shoulders stood mighty as his hair flowed against the current of the stellar wind.

He would never know how many times I tried to stop myself from moving an inch closer, he would never know how much I imagined hisย lips exploring undiscovered places of my body or his hands delving freely in undisturbed rhythm.

I almost tripped and lost my balance when he stopped walking. Did he notice that I was following him? I froze for a while, my lips were numb with damaging possibilities. He might think that I was a creep. What should I do? I felt like running. He didn’t move, he just stood there, like an imperial figure commanding an army.

Then I saw him smile. A smile bursting like fireworks, like a painter’s greatest masterpiece in one regal stroke, a writer’s poetically written creation.

I fell in love with that smile, and from afar, somehow, it made me happy, it brought sunshine in my cloudy existence, it gave me hope and serenity.

I can’t remember how many times I glanced at his direction before I decided to walk the other way. I can still see his smile in my head. Tempting.

  1. So much feeling written into this story and brilliantly told because itโ€™s relatable to people, thatโ€™s what makes it drawing and beautiful. Longing to be noticed but settling for shy love. Touching story indeed.๐ŸŒน๐ŸŒน
