The Visitor

It’s been 45 minutes since I found myself hiding under the bed, curled up in a fetal position, shivering in fear, disoriented and confused.

The knock on the door didn’t stop. The sound of imminent death is terrifying. It followed me here, it watched me go to sleep, it preyed upon my trepidation with haste and hunger. It played with my head, tearing down the walls of protection I surrounded myself with.

It grew impatient and began banging through the diversion, determined to split it open, I didn’t move, I closed my eyes and got lost in my thoughts, the floor creaked, my entire body went numb as faint steps resonated through my skin, a loud growl shook the room, the creature finally found me.

  1. Very chilling and that donโ€™t look behind you sense. Sounds like an inner emotion and thatโ€™s what makes it so scary is itโ€™s something the mind is manifesting and that can be so so scary๐Ÿ˜ณ. Shadows can be so terrifying!! Great job lovely!!
