Suddenly, there was darkness
A vague fragment of my despair
An effigy of my private demon
A sinister entity, I created.
My tears flowed like an endless river
Confusion subsumed my unworldly doubts
Climbing on a perilous ladder of deliverance
Barely able to survive.
A blinding light from the sky
Embraced my aching heart with warmth and solace
A touch with reverence and calm
Put my soul at ease.

There is warmth and familiarity in a lot of things… mostly the discomfort of entering the unknown. Thank goodness we have our self to rely on – it just takes understanding that it grows like a plant – water it, speak to it, nurture it, love it. Even the Queen of the Night blossoms in darkness. Thanks for sharing your creative soul with us.
