The Bride

Ragazza Triste

 

White laced fairytale
A floral paradise, red tulips effloresced
Love unveiled at the altar
Two souls, in a solemn promise

I saw him took her hand
His eyes sparkled like a million stars
He whispered a silent prayer
Admiring her beauty, he cried

She wiped his tears, hands shaking
Her lips flaming in a red desire
She uttered “yes” beaming with pride
As he slipped the ring, she cried

A painful sight, I mourned
A love story in front of my eyes
I walked away with a tattered heart
For that kind of love will never never be mine.

  23. What a post, to watch a dream, a scene that you think can only happen on fairytales. To watch someone else’s happily ever after. It’s like Emeniem said, always the bridesmaid, never the bride. But everyone gets to write their storybook ending, nice piece lovely.

      1. I’ve only really been at it for a few months, but I started writing poetry about five years ago and I’ve written a lot as I’ve been going to school. I started my blog a year ago, but I didn’t really post anything cause I wasn’t ready – but now I’m motivated, and I’ve challenged my self to post a poem a day over the next year 🙂 How about you?

  36. This is sooo beautiful! Every girl dreams of what their wedding day would look like and who they are going to marry. You will find that kind of love soon because God is still writing your story. He has someone just for you and it will be worth the wait when you do find that someone!💕
