The Blogger Spotlight: Featuring Zeina

THE SPOTLIGHT IS NOW FOCUSED ON OUR FEATURED BLOGGER:

NAME: Zeina

BLOG PAGE: Writingwithanopenheart

BLOG LINK: https://writingwithanopenheart.wordpress.com/

Zeina’s page is simple, direct and honest. I enjoy reading her creative writings; I have always been a fan of her work. She’s very sweet, she likes Gillian Flynn very much. She likes Celine, Madonna and Movie Evita. She is also a photographer, and I think that’s amazing, I mean, a writer/photographer? That’s cool right?

WHY YOU SHOULD VISIT HER PAGE?

As a writer, actually “aspiring” writer, I love reading the works of other people, maybe because I think that I am not really good at it, so I want to try and learn, I want to be able to improve my skills. Zeina’s page helped me a lot, I love her imagination, I love the simplicity that she’s trying to express, and I love the honesty of her writings. She writes outstanding poems and her narrative is also impressive. You can totally learn a lot from her experiences.

GET TO KNOW HER BETTER:

I asked Zeina a few questions just to get to know her better.

HOW DID BLOGGING/WRITING CHANGE YOUR LIFE?

I’ve always been shy of sharing my prose, so blogging has boosted my confidence to publish my writings. It has also introduced me to a lot of talented and kind people who share the same passion as me.

WHAT ARE YOUR INSPIRATIONS? WHO MOTIVATES YOU?

I love stories of people who have overcome a dark phase of life and aren’t afraid to share it. Kids who have gone through traumatic events are also a wonderful inspiration to me. I find their smiles and ability to move forward simply astonishing. As for motivation, I’ve spoken to a lot of writers, some are now close friends and they have taught me a lot about this process. They always know the right things to say when I’m about to quit.

IF YOU WRITE A BOOK ABOUT YOURSELF, YOUR LIFE, WHAT WOULD BE THE TITLE? WHY?

This is a tough question since I am not very good in writing titles. I think I’d call the book; “A Blessed Journey” because despite all the struggles I’ve been through, I believe that there is always a way out and there’s always something wonderful to look forward to.

“To weep to others pain and to smile to others happiness is a part of what makes us human.” — Zeina
