Lacuna

Drenched in blood
A crimson colour of mourning
Desperate for a cure
Slipping away

Scraped violently into the abyss of hell
Slept helplessly beside the galling chaos
The void in his heart
The scar in his soul, crippling

Skin blistered by disdain
Hands withered in fetter
Decorum immured by guilt
Died unknown.

  1. Emotionally written and worded with such feeling. Art can be taken many ways and darkness is sometimes misunderstood. There is struggle within this and that’s a sign of positivity, without struggle there’s no progress. Powerful read indeed, dark but you have to see beyond the light.

  2. Sometimes we need a bit of darkness to get a better view on the light that hides around the corner. Great wordplay and imagery. I like it a lot. Also thanks for dropping round my blog.

  3. Amazing blog! Do you have any tips and hints for aspiring
writers? I’m planning to start my own site soon but I’m a little lost on everything.

Would you recommend starting with a free platform like WordPress or go for a paid option? There are so many choices
out there that I’m completely overwhelmed .. Any tips?

    Bless you!

  4. This is a dark but beautiful poem, I like how symbolic it is! The images speak for themselves and rely on what you feel. I like that! I’m glad you commented on my last post as I have now read some good poetry !!
