The Versatile Blogger Award

Whoa! This is definitely unexpected. To be nominated and acknowledged again by amazing and talented writers all over WordPress is truly incredulous. Sometimes I think that I am not worthy of all these, but my heart is filled with adoration and gratefulness. I am so fortunate and proud to be a part of this awesome community. Thank you so much for the love and support.

I want to extend my appreciation to Ms. Pink Peeli for the nomination, her writings are truly incredible and extraordinary.

The Versatile Blogger Award was created to feature and recognize blogs that have unique content, high quality of writing and fantastic photos.

THE RULES ARE:

  • Thank the person who nominated you with a link to their blog. Include the banner in your post.
  • Tag it under #versatile blogger award.
  • Tell 7 things about yourself. What are some fun facts about yourself?
  • Keep up with the chain and nominate bloggers for this award.

7 BORING THINGS ABOUT ME:

1. I am a Filipino. I am verily proud of that fact. Although I love speaking, writing and using the English language, I will always be proud of my nationality. Mabuhay!

2. I am weird. I talk to myself a lot. I argue with my inner character, I judge myself, I criticise myself. I prefer talking to myself than talking to people. (No wonder I have no friends, haha!)

3. I actually have one of the easiest jobs in the whole world. I am not gonna say that I hate it, but I am planning on looking for greater opportunities professionally.

4. I am always online. like, 24/7. At home, at the office, in the bus, in the metro, I am literally a social media freak (I still don’t have friends, though). If you want to connect with me, you can check my Twitter (https://twitter.com/wondercyncyn) Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/wondercyncyn/) and Facebook account (https://www.facebook.com/MarXiendra) I would love to be friends with you. I always REPLY. Always.

5. I adore cats. I love cats. I am in love with anything about cats. I pick up stray cats and kittens, I adopt abandoned and abused cats. I am a cat lady. A cat is my spirit animal.

6. Although I’m Filipino, I don’t watch Filipino films, I am a fan of foreign movies and TV series.

7. Honestly, one of my WordPress goals is to help the newbies or new bloggers. I want to welcome them, I want to make an award for them, I want to nominate them, I want them to feel appreciated and accepted. I want them to continue writing and grow their page.

THESE ARE MY NOMINEES: (I NOMINATED A LOT OF PEOPLE BECAUSE I WANT TO KEEP THIS NOMINATION GOING.)

      1. I will for sure, thank you for the nomination 🤗 how does it work though? When I googled the award it shows stuff dating back to January 2017 but nothing more recent. Is it more of an initiative to build a blogging community/network and celebrate/encourage each other’s writing?

      1. Yes. I really like to nominate new bloggers for any award nominations I have, it’s something fun to do and this will motivate and encourage them a little bit. 🙂

  1. Thank you for nominating me! I love your 7 NOT at all boring facts about you.
I love that you adopt cats 😀
Your posts always end with a positive note about helping bloggers promote their blogs which makes me so happy I met you. 😀

      1. Right now, I don’t have. 😦 But back home, I got plenty. It;s hard to adopt cats here in Dubai. I found a stray kitten last week on the side of the road, I was gonna pick it up but it ran away, 😦

      2. I had like 12 cats, when I was younger. I had 5 cats here in Dubai, but whenever we move, we had to leave them behind and find new owners for them. I had two, who died, I had two who was stolen. 😦

  2. I’m a dog person, but I seem to have a LOT of cat person friends. That’s okay, don’t you think? Keep blogging — this is a wonderful, supportive community, and how cool is it that we can connect with such talented people all across the globe?!!

    1. Yeeesss! Truly. I love meeting new people with the same passion that I have, like, this is a paradise of talented writers and I am so lucky I am a part of this community. How long have you been blogging?

  3. Deserved! Congratulations!
Being Filipino to me sounds exotic. To you, I guess it’s normal.
I saw a feature story on TV recently that was about the awful films USA companies made in the Philippines in the ’60s and ’70s. I think, I hope, that’s done. Should make good films there.
I’m happy you like cats. I had my cat for nineteen years from when she was a foundling, pulled out of traffic, to when she died in my arms not so long ago. They’re great company, aren’t they?
It’s great that you’re helping bloggers come on board. Continued good luck!

    1. Hello. Exotic? Haha. I’d like to think so.
Really? Tell me about the films? Didn’t know about that.
I love cats. Aww. That’s sad. They are sweet and I like to cuddle with them.
Yes. I’d like to meet newbies, I want to encourage them to not stop writing and blogging.

      Thank you! 😊

      1. Well, the films are characterized by sex and violence, especially violence. They were apparently made with very small budgets and took advantage of local labor not being paid very much. The actors from the USA commented on lack of creature comforts for everyone who came and stayed to make the movies. Can I repeat any of the titles? Not really–they aren’t memorable. I think prisons and chains and death and slaughter and the like were typically used. One important film was made this way, though with known actors and director. This was Apocalypse Now.

For the several days, I’ve been cat-sitting for friends who are traveling. I’m reminded every day how funny and irascible cats are.

It’s important that you’re encouraging others. You need to take care of you as well, of course.

  4. I’m also a Filipino citizen and though that fact is there, I’m not into Filipino movies, I usually watch foreign horror movies, read English literature, or whatnot.
I also love cats, honestly I want to have one.
Thanks again, gonna do this later.

  5. Hey! Many Congratulations 🙂 Bloggers like you keep newbies like me growing. Kudos! Also, I can totally relate to the second and fourth point. I had always been thinking that I am the weirdest, talking to myself. Thanks to you, now I feel relieved 😀

      2. Don’t you hate it that jobs get in our way of life? I am really glad we have been able to connect. Honestly, my FB is so hard to find because my husband set it to private, but I think it is just alyssabowman. If you want to give me yours, I will try to find you!

      3. Oh no, we have 2 cats!My husband never wanted kids and my doctor told me I probably would not be able to carry to term because of lesions I have on my spine. Our cats are great children!

      4. Honestly with the world the way it is right now, I would not feel right subjecting another living being to it! I think it shows how I feel about the way my country is acting! Do you have children? I saw you have been with your boyfriend for a long time!

      5. Yes. We’ve been together for eight years and we have two kids. I wanted to have kids while I was younger. I understand, it’s your choice, what matters is you are happy. Where are you from?

      6. I’m from the Philippines, I am a Filipino. Ha ha. My eldest is already 6 years old, the youngest is 4. I apologise if you won’t understand some of my posts on Facebook, I don’t always post using English because people would think I’m too proud. Ha ha!

      7. Ha ha. It’s a tropical country, we have stunning beaches, all natural. I’d prefer if we have snow as well. How about your place? I bet it’s magnificent too. They’re both girls. He he.

      8. I would LOVE the tropical atmosphere with beautiful beaches! I am a beach girl and my husband loves snow and mountains. Where I live is not all the pretty! There is way too much traffic and buildings. I do not do well with traffic! The good thing is, we are close to both the beaches and mountains. We do snowboard in the winter, even though it causes me a lot of pain, I do it for him! I actually just saw that on FB, your girls are beautiful just like their mommy!!!

      9. Yes. I saw one of your profile pictures and you’re both somewhere snowy and cold. I would love that, I would love to do that someday. Oh, I hope you could visit the Philippines, I would really love to be your guide, Ha ha. I live in a very fresh and natural environment, away from the city, we have rivers, trees and mountains. You’d totally love that.
