Love Powder

I love thee as I love the smooth scent of winter roses
The blossoming of early pearls
The bursting of the solemn trees
Endurance from the sun

I love thee as I love the falling rain
The melting snow in a glance
The clear drops of endless purity
Two phases of the sky

I love thee as I love the wild thunder
Of endless power and love
The electric shock from profound kiss
The lightning from afar

I love thee as I love the words you speak
The sweetest sound of all
The flash of obvious words you say
From unknown source of love.

  1. Great answers to the Browing question. I love poetry that uses allusion. Such a beautifully romantic piece of poetry!

    1. Aww. Thank you so much. I feel like writing about love today, I know that my next post would be a little bit dark and melancholic. Thank you, Reina. 😍😍😍

    1. Please, write it. I look forward to reading a love poem written by you. I am glad this piece has inspired you to write a more heartfelt piece. Do you have a Twitter or IG account? I would love to connect with you there. 🙂

  4. Well done! I have this itch to strip out all the “you”s and replace them with thy/thee. It reads in my head with the same cadence, and affection Lady Toda Buntaro (Mariko) spoke to Anjin-san. (Shogun, 1980) If you have not watched that mini-series, do yourself a favor and watch it. Actually, don’t watch it, just listen.

      1. I do have a tw account; jn1410 <– because someone else has jn14. I have dropped off using it lately. I also have an IG but it is not associated with Halieus; a completely different endeavor. Hope your weekend was an inspiration.

  5. Dear Ragazza, I was so surprised when I got a ‘like’ for my story , ‘Missing Posie’. You read it before I had a chance to make myself a cup of coffee. So I went to your blog and
    I like what I see.
    If I follow you
    Will you follow me.
And I will, as long as you write stories about falling in love. I am an old man but I remember when I was young.

      1. Now, dear girl. I am old, but don’t call me sir. Call me John. Because if I fall in love with your posts it would not sound right to call me ‘SIR’.
