It’s been months since I got nominated for an award, and I am pumped with gratitude and positive vibrations. I am always excited to participate, and nominate fellow bloggers; I want to know their thoughts and reflections. I believe that being nominated is already a congenial experience, and it’s a cycle of sharing one’s identity. In this community, there is already an ocean of people with different sets of goals and achievements, and awards like this make it even more fulfilling.

About The Award:

This is an award for amazing bloggers with ingenious posts. Their blog not only captivates; it inspires and motivates. They are one of the best out there, and they deserve every recognition they get. This award is also for bloggers who find fun and inspiration in blogging, and they do it with so much love and passion.

 

I was nominated by https://benkofficial.com/, a very talented writer who has my utmost respect and admiration. I am one of the lucky few who are able to come across her page and be blessed with her wit and honesty.

As part of the nomination process, I was given five questions to answer, here it goes;

1: Which Disney character does your own character relate to?

I’d say, Beauty, from Beauty and the Beast. She’s not afraid to speak her mind, she’s not afraid to be different and weird, she’s outgoing and she doesn’t judge people easily by appearance and how a person looks, she even fell in love with Beast and that for me is pure love, just like me, I don’t base my judgment with how someone looks, I love them for who they are inside.

2: Would you like to go back to the 90’s, a time without internet?
Definitely. Things are much simpler back then, people weren’t so concerned about social media, we didn’t need to feel validated by likes and shares. We had a unique and sincere relationship with people and our families, we didn’t bully that much, we didn’t care about fame and power, we had a genuine purpose. We were living each day without bragging about our lifestyle. I would really like to go back.

3: Do you like to cook from scratch? (Make your own sauces, own dough from bread/pasta etc.)
I like to invent weird stuff. I find cooking fascinating, but I’m not very good at it.

4: What would you do on a first date?
I would love to just talk and eat a lot of food. I don’t need to be pampered that much, I just want good company, good food, and genuine conversations.

5: Whats’ your favorite way of transportation?
I don’t like travelling that much, but I think it would have to be in a Jeepney, Ha ha, it’s a Filipino vehicle, very traditional.

6: What’s your favorite emoji ?
Cat emojis. Haha! I am in love with cats, so I consider myself a cat sometimes. Must. Love. Cats.

  4. Thank you for the nomination. I love the answers to your questions you were given. You seem like a genuine person who has her head on straight 🙂 While I don’t participate in award nominations, I thought I might answer the questions you posed here:

    1. Forrest Gump because I’ve worked a gazillion jobs in my lifetime and I always felt like I was different than all others around me. And, I loved my momma (and pappaand whole family) – I did not have a girfriend named Jenny, though 🙂

    2. I refer dogs but I love all animals.

    3. I don’t think I decided to become a writer; I just started writing. I wrote my first poem at age 15 and I’ve been writing ever since (in some way, shape or form). Writing now has become a part of my personal therapy and a way for me to describe where I am, who I am, and how I fit into this world. It also allows me to be creative with words because I love to play with them.

    4. As a writer I simply want to engage with words and use them to describe my place in this world as I reflect on how I interact with people and my environment. I also want to find new and creative ways to describe thing as I have a deep love affair with figurative language.

    5. My pet peeves include: bigots, racists, the smell of tobacco, drugs, ignorance, intolerance, selfishness, Rap music, arrogant people and bad writing/music. There may be others I have forgotten 🙂

    6. My final words: I lived, loved and enjoyed life.

      1. You are welcome! I love melody and Rap is devoid of it. Bass and drum and monorhyme never ever appealed to me. So, I guess these things define rap. However, I do appreciate some of the sentiments within the lyrics of some pieces 🙂 My folks have passed but I loved them dearly and think of them every day. You are welcome 🙂

    2. I like cats and puppy dogs, I am scared of every other organism living in this planet. But I never hate them.
    3. Well I ain’t a talking type so I decided to write.
    4. As a writer I need to achieve a never ending trail of thoughts in mind whoever reads it
    5. Brother keeps on talking while watching movies, lizard cry, tick tock clock sound, big sigh, hmm mmm and ahhhh I mean non lexical fillers, etc etc big list up there Miss Triste.

  13. agree about beauty! and loved your date question lol i was asked that by someone on a dating site once and I was in a smart ass mood and said “good food, good sex, good company” or something similar. Might have been chocolate instead of food. I can’t remember lol

      1. Only for two months. 😳 Still figuring out the social media stuff. I’m working so hard and I feel like I’m taking baby steps or standing still at times. Lol but I’m motivated and I WILL make this work. 🙂

  17. May I participate? Congratulations to you 🤗 I didn’t really realise there’s a whole community on here. I have been writing here for a year but only to a small audience. My purpose was initially just to carve out a space for myself and make a portfolio of my writing over time but I’m just discovering there’s a bigger blogger world out here!

  18. Oh you’re a cat person too.
    I found a cat while leaving the mall, he surely was hungry as I can see it in his eyes and his depressed cheeks, but I got no food to give.
    I was too embarrassed to pick him up, and I felt ashamed to not help him. I went back with a piece of fried chicken, but he was gone.
    I was afraid he was taken by the security guard at the area, but I hope I was wrong and someone with a good heart brought him to his new home.
    It’s great to find people who respect animals too. 👏

    1. Aww. I would’ve taken the cat home with me. I did that too many times. Like, I was on my way to work and this little kitten was screaming inside the bus stop, picked it up then I ran, it’s not allowed to pick up stray cats here in Dubai, so, I had to stop doing it. 😭
